Actually the one from the Sony Centre is an Intel Dual Core T3400 processor, I thought these were the same. Any other good laptops around with 3GB RAM and a decent processor for under £500?.

Much Love.
-5% = £427 -0.5% quidco = £425.35

Not bad!

Worth noting it has a built-in webcam.
Yeah, Any better than this anyone?
Looks good. Shame, Am looking for a Sony, but, atm dont have £450 :-(
This is worth considering, too.

Wouldn't bother with this one when the one the OP listed has more memory and hard drive for only £50 more.
I would of gone with a better Processor

Any difference between AMD Athlon X2 and the Intel Dual Core?
What one would you recommend?

The other Sony or this Sony?

Good point, I would like to know this as well.
A small premium because it's a Vaio (as to be expected) for £30 more you can get this

With a 2ghz C2D, 3Gb of RAM, 250Gb HDD & dedicated graphics (Nvidia 9200m also has HDMI out) & I had a look at it today & it's a fairly nice looking laptop.

pul_doh - Try here, the site has a comparison somewhere I seem to recall
Im hoping that blu ray lappys will be this price same spec soon- as i had a lappy which sucked because i had to connect the ethernet every time - sold it to my sis then sorted out the router and now wireless
What is the 5% code?
You have to get your own. It is something to with the RAC.
The processor in this is from the "Dual Core" line rather than the later and much better "Core 2 Duo" line (developed because AMD dual core chips thrashed Intel's Dual Cores)
Thanks for the reminder < audioporno >
