Seems very good for a Sony.
#2
Very good deal for a well-built laptop.

writing this msg on an Acer, which is quite frankly, flimsy.
#3
Really cheap for a sony, not sure how old / fast the processor is
#4
I am on a sony vaio vgn-nr38e atm and its a great laptop but it has issues with noise when connected to my tv unless i run it from the battery only, oh and the keyboard keys are sticking now and they are a nightmare to replace...
#5
This is my second laptop, it's ok does basics, plus point are the connections/peripheries camera/stick reader/4usbs/firewire/vga, negative point is the integrated graphics card, slows the laptop plus limits watching films/games....

I brought it for £500 when it came out last year which was a bargain then, its £350 now so still a bargain.

Is the T3400 always dual core?
#7
Also comes with Windows 7 upgrade disc or pre-installed

Windows Index 3.4/7 -it's half descent and only really low because of the graphics card

Is the T3400 always dual core?

dont know if this would be any interest to you, not sony but has 3 yr warranty http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/594290/samsung-laptop-3-year-warranty-3-yr

Expired quickly
How many did they have ? TWO ?
#14
I wouldn't buy this again, It has a common touch pad issue and the two touch pad buttons are crap hard clicky things that feel uncomfortable, not to mention the shiny silver metal looking finish on them wears in under a year and it isn't down to constant usage as I have two other laptops and PC's at home that i equally use. All the silver bling has totally worn off of my two buttons and now they are just bare plastic.

Oh yeah, my battery is shot to bits too "just" after a year and that's with using Sony's power management software that ships with it and properly discharging the battery before recharge.

I get 15 minutes of battery life tops at one years old. (Just)

The DVDRW which I've used like 20x since I've had it, no longer reads DVD's. It will only read/write CDR's now.

The Laptop is bloody heavy to lug about and it gets really really hot resting on your lap, the thing kicks out some serious heat.

Other than that, speed wise it works like a dream lol, :whistling:

Saw this deal when it arrived but held back when I saw the graphics and the hefty weight. Integrated Intel GMA 4500M is not good graphics even accompanied with 3GB RAM and nearly 3kg for a laptop is not practical when nowadays new 15" laptops are around 2kg
#17
I was able to add this to basket, any reason why it has expired?

Edit :

Out of stock once you proceed to checkout, ah well :) Not that I was gonna buy one

good price for a Sony since their laptops are VERY overpriced...but objectively - nothing special.I would rather go for the Samsung @ Argos unless you are buying laptop for a trendy badge.

I think these are the only laptops that have the "mac style" raised keys?

I love that key design, yet its only the expensive macs / sonys that have them!
