Description

The VAIO NS is full of style and features a slim profile for good looks and portability. With smooth rounded corners and edges, the VAIO NS sports a relaxed and natural form that looks good by your side. Gentle curves also keep exterior dimensions to a minimum and ensures the laptop is really easy to slip into a bag or carrying case. A defining characteristic of the VAIO NS is a warm and natural surface texture that's so different from the cold smoothness of most laptops. Designed to complement natural elements in the home, this texture is also very comfortable to hold as your fingers are in touch with individual points rather than a flat surface.

X-Black LCD Screen.
The super sharp clarity of X-black screen technology is a VAIO exclusive feature unrivalled by any other manufacturer. The secret ingredient is the anti-reflection coating - ensuring an absolute smooth surface where rays of light are not broken or diffused. Whether watching movies or gaming, X-black provides the best screen experience in all lighting conditions, with 100% colour fidelity, high brightness, enhanced contrast and a wide viewing angle.

Built-In MotionEye Camera.
Easy-to-use, with integrated auto focus and auto brightness, the built-in camera is perfect for video calls. Being able to see your friends and family when you are online is so much better than just reading their emails.

Windows Vista Home Premium.
Windows Vista Home Premium is the preferred edition of Windows Vista for home desktop and mobile PCs. It delivers more productivity and entertainment at home and on the go making it easy to enjoy digital photos, music, TV, games and movies, while providing a whole new level of security and reliability.

VAIO Movie Story.
VAIO Movie Story is a High Definition home movie editor for creating a home movie in seconds. The software will export in most formats to view on PC, TV, YouTube or PSP.

VAIO Music Box.
Easily manage your music the way you want to with VAIO Music Box music player software. Listen to songs according to your mood without having to hand pick every track. Search for songs quickly with Chorus Playback, and transfer music to your favourite MP3 player.

VAIO Media Plus.
Easily share your digital content such as your photos, music and videos, without worrying about compatibility. Sony is a member of the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA). DLNA Certified products meet strict internationally recognised standards that mean you can be sure that your laptop can communicate with your other home entertainment products.

VAIO Click to Disk.
Create your own discs quickly with your photos and videos, ready to show to your friends and family. Keep it simple using the one-click automatic mode or use the edit mode to customise your DVD

Silver one is £449 on Amazon - Don't like the reviews though! http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0029U2HBE/syr01130-21/

The Silver is also £449 on Play.

With the Sony your paying for the brand reputation, the Acer has a much better processor, higher ram and a seperate graphics card. They are not realy comparable except on price.

I know which one I would go for (clue it begins with A)

not a good price i'm afraid. I bought this for 379 from my local IT supplier - exactly the same model with the upgrade to win7 (which you have to pay £20 for from Sony by the way) - so someone is making a big profit here!

True?? £379 is definately a good one, been scouring the net for hours for the best deal! What shop was that??
Yeah silver and black are £449 on play too.... I want the white one :-P

Which Acer one did you say is better?

Thanks guys, first post on here :-P

Cold from me as it is the same spec as the £379 Studio 15 from CPW. Although that requires a £15 fee to get Windows 7.

Why isn't this posted as a deal? Seems a good price for this spec for a Dell Studio?

Been up for a week or so. It is only at 66 degrees which is a shame as it is a cracking device. I got one and just fitted a Dell 5530 Mobile Broadband internal Mini-PCI card so I can now go online without having to plug in a dongle. Great size and spec for the money. And if you saw the other deal you could have got it for £260ish if you had won the Dell Misprice Lottery

Sorry mate, but I didn't see it, even though I usually check the new tab for laptops. Anyway, I've added some heat, so it's now up to 80
