Great price at £599 but even better at £569.00 when purchased through Top Cashback.

£799 @ PCWorld/Currys
£829 @ Comet
£750 @ Laskys

This is a very good deal people.

Spotted this whilst browsing through the PS3 deal earlier - comes with 21.5" touchscreen. Great price for an i3 touchscreen all in one desktop & full HD Display BTW. Am assuming that this is energy efficient as it uses an AC adapter.

Looks like it may be touchscreen looking at one of the pictures on the Sony store website!

Can anyone confirm this?

The model number stipulates touchscreen on other sites so we can assume that it is present - have updated original post. Looks like a bargain.

I paid a grand for this last year, can confirm it's touchscreen.

Its a lovely bit of kit...... the only issue is if you want to Skype, the built in microphone is too near the fans, so you need to plug in an external one.

Bargain at this price.

I'm guessing by the fact you've said 'old xp tower', it'll be DDR2 memory, which isn't supported on this PC. This uses the newer DDR3. As for the hard drive, since it's an all in one package there'll be limited room inside for upgrading or adding, so probably room for one hard drive. It might also be a 2.5" hard drive as well (Laptop hard drive).

Seems like a good deal if you want a nice looking PC.

Might be worth thinking about an external casing for your old drive and attaching it that way?

Might be worth ordering via telephone and explaining this - I am sure that they will waive the charge.

You need to select "Express Delivery" to get the free delivery option guys.

Maybe for this sort of money, could go for a high end Laptop.
Why is it that most Laptops do not have 2MP web cams. Even this is just a 0.3MP one.

Bargain! This is Hot!

Just ordered online for the 5% Topcashback, thats another £30 off! :-)

Have phoned them up and they have refunded me the postage charge, no problems.

Can you use 5% quidco as well?
#23
Looks great! Any advantages of having it touch screen? What would be the practical uses for this, or is it good for certain other programmes? Thanks.

Vertical touchscreen is really a gimmick in a home environment or a standard PC set up.

Interesting opinion.
Looks like the new iMacs due to be released in a few months are to be touchscreen also.

Cashback's not guaranteed, the graphics are poor and the processor's not exactly stellar. The touchscreen is a gimmick that will hardly ever be used, and touchscreen monitors aren't so expensive as to justify this asking price. You could get a core-i3 laptop AND an external touchscreen 1080p monitor and still walk away with change from £600. I'd expect a lot more from a £600 desktop.

#36
I wouldnt deal with sony again if u paid me, bought a laptop from them in december £1100 broke after 3 weeks they had it at their HQ for 2 months now refusing to fix it unless we pay for it saying fault is our doing, utter rot, they want to charge £500 for the repair, small claims court here we come.

Apple's opinion is the same as mine, the latest touchscreen rumours for iMac revolve around an adjustable screen so as to allow a more horizontal position for touchscreen use.

Can you install OS X on this and get a metal housing for it? (_;)
