#3
Sucky specs. for a new laptop at that 'bargain' price.
#4

They look stunning!
#5

#9
Sorry didnt see the code for the voucher in your listing....lol

Anyone getting this should nip to their local pc world to have a quick play 1st, there's a good reason Sony have this at this price, the build quality is inferior to the similarly priced Dell Vostro's.
#11
Excellant find you_never_know heated and repped. Seriously bigsofty you should do some research into the price of small screen proper mibile laptops before making comment.£593 next cheapest at: http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=VGN+C1S&hl=en-GB&show=dd&scoring=p

Would have one if it was near the £350 barrier, currently looking at Acers with 14.1" Screens for that price. Anyone else got any ideas about small screened laptops for 350 ish?

Spec could be better, agreed, but it is a Sony, build quality (in my opinion, owning one) is great and the screen is one of the best i've seen, in its class.

For the price (bearing in mind it's a Viao and what it's selling for elsewhere) it is a bargain, unless you can find it cheaper.
#14
does it have tv out ?
#15
If I wanted it with Vista, what would be the best method of adding it at the cheapest price?

Also, Media Centre...how much different is it from XP?

just curious what you're basing this comment on? In my opinion the sony laptops have much better build quality than Dell

Vista Home Premium OEM is £62.77 from eBuyer.

Media Centre is XP with Media Centre applications included. Unless you wanted to use the functionality, it would be exactly the same.

I purchased the 15.4" N11s last night for £388 from them. To me that is a better machine and i cant see why this one is more expensive.

Hopefully they will honour this... i did speak with them on the phone today and they seemed to think it would go through ok and be delivered next week. Heres hoping :-)
#19
Its lighter, more portable..a quicker CPU... (the other is just a dual core, not a core 2 duo)

the N11s has the inferior T2050

is the website workin for anyone at the moment?

How about:
Sony 'N11S' Laptop.
Core Duo Processor.
1024Mb RAM.
100Gb hard drive.
15.4ins display.

I'm not sure how it compares with Sony VGN-C1S/W but there must be a reason the N11S is around £60 cheaper. Perhaps the size.
#23
TBH id sooner have the bigger screen and the 'slightly inferior' T2050.
#24
tbh it depends what you are looking for, i need a portable laptop so this seems ideal. horses for courses :-)

Its personal preference. I have a 14.4 widescreen vaio, they are chunky Monkeys! These 13.3" ones are pretty sexy looking.

Good price.

it was slow earlier for me.

Well it looks like everyones now gonna be ordering lol. A great code in the first place from the original Samsung TV thread (which again was a blinding deal)! I hope every1 gets what they want... and tbh whatever the spec of the laptop 15.4 dualcore vs 13" core2duo these are a good bargain based on other online prices. Like i said before... please please please honour these codes... my birthday present depends on it !!!
#31
I don't wish to purposefully put a downer on this 'deal' but seeing that the 25% voucher is coming from Prima magazine, could it be that the discount is only for Ladies clothes?
#32
Voted hot - That's definitely a good spec for the price. It's purely personal on the screen size; but from my (limited) experience I agree that the T2050 sucks versus the T5500.
#33
I bought one last night as well - I've not seen any laptop with a 13.1" screen this cheap before, not even a dell!!! From what I've seen, the smaller the laptop, the more expensive, so If I get it 'll be chuffed to bits.

For those of you thinking of it, don't forget www.TopCashback.com for an extra 6% - thats what swayed it for me making it just over £400!!
#34
I've ordered just now, hope its honoured. Fingers crossed :-)
#35
this may sound silly but is there a year warranty on this?
#36
Bargain Crazy is selling the N11S on eBay for £460 including postage. Their eBay and Paypal fees for these will be about £35 which means they are selling that at a nett price of £425 which is a lot less than the £512 they are selling them for on their website. It’s still more than the £388 that the 25% code gives, but it makes it more likely that they will honour this deal.

Their eBay account is in the company name, littlewoods-clearance.
#37
yeah i checked that aswell, they havent got the C1S/W in their shop for some reason?
#38
just ordered one, just couldn't resist
#39
ordered. compared to other similar specs this is cheap! u cant go wrong!!

just might have to remove all of sony's pre installed rubbish thought! no biggy!

The returns on Sony laptops are pretty much the highest in the industry. I work in I.T. and would never touch one - inferior build quality with shoddy fan.
