Cold as ice! This was much cheaper a little while back with the promotion Sony were doing offering £150 cashback. Ironically, thats the max. anyone should pay for this device; £150!

Is this for real?

£500 for a netbook?

Good for a laugh, I suppose, but not much else. Thanks, but no thanks! :-D

Our CFO has got this piece of kit. Worst Sony I ever have touched. We had to install Vista Business onto this Netbook via the optional DVD drive. I think i spent a total of 7 hours on it to get all installed. This Sony is a joke. Slow as hell and the display so small / high res that we had to lower the resolution to read anything on it. After 2 months, he gave up and got a decent lightweight Sony. This is a joke to market something liek that for 500 quid. Considering that the o2 Joggler has almost the same CPU, you better get one of those for 50 quid. :p

Cold as Alaska.

fair enough, not a great piece of kit but there are people who wants this so they could benefit from the cheaper price available now:p

sorry, but this is a joke, and just another example of paying a ridiculus price for a branded name.

no disrespect to the OP of course.
I do re-installs / servicing of many machines , and find sony have a tendency to stop support for machines very quick (bios, drivers etc etc)

just look at how many machines have driver support for windows 7........................if you where unfortunate enough to by a machine from them , say 12 to 18 months before windows 7 came out, good lcuk for your driver support, not in every case, but have found quite a few respectably specced sony machines that they will not supply drivers for, which is a joke.

Overpriced, sony outlets (cheshire oaks etc) had these for £379 late last year and even that was pushing it. Not only are these fiddly but damn slow.

i`ve seen these cheaper on here before

I quote "good deal if you like Vaio P Series"
personally I would not buy it as there are loads a better netbook out there at a fraction of this price, only the people that buy this brand won't come out to justify the ridicolous amount of money the pretend...

obviously no fans in these posts...
