Would have to be something special about this model as netbooks often come up at £100 cheaper than this and seem to have the same specs to me.

You could say the screen resolution is "special", it's higher than the standard 10.1" 1024x600 - 1366x768 is the standard resolution on most 15.6" laptops.

Yes true, but I wouldn't say an extra 30% pixel density on the screen warrants nearly doubling the price!
