Cracking price for a brilliant pmp. Have the 16gb version and the sound quality is amazing.

Straight forward Drag & Drop from Windows Explorer.

Earphones supplied are some of the best you can get supplied with a player.

Just check out the Amazon User Reviews.

if it was DAB it would of been hot but not FM

unless you really want something fancy (e.g. walkman x-series/ipod touch) this is one of the best players money can buy.

The earphones coupled with this player is a completely different experience to that of any ipod coupled with those crappy white earphones..

I ordered this a couple of weeks ago when it was around £52 delivered from Amazon (via HDUK). Really impressed with it so far, and upto 40hrs battery life!

Does this have a rechargeable battery? Is it removable? How does this charge? Via a wall socket or via USB?

Anyone know?

A lot of love for the Sony here. Makes me feel slightly uncomfortable. I'm kinda surprised anyone listens to the radio at all anymore but to each their own.

I'm after a new player so got this on the shortlist but wondering what the UI is like and how worthwhile is the video?

The UI is easy and straightward. Access to songs is very quick.

Video is quality is also very good, but you wouldn't want to watch a full length film on it
due to the smallish screen.

Most mp3 players have FMt not DAB. the only ones I know of with DAB is the Iriver B20 and the Cwon I Audio D2.

I have the earlier all plastic Sony, which is similar to this.

At this price I have ordered one as I have been very happy with my present one. But this has a metal front, slighty bigger screen and comes with decent ear phones. Bargain!

great, got a 4GB one for my daughters birthday, half the price of an ipod & the sound is better!

Hi

It sounds like the mp3 car stereo is already able to play mp3 music, so you wouldn't need any extra hardware, just a cd with mp3 files on it.

The mp3 player in this deal would allow your son to play the same mp3 music as a portable. I suppose that your son could also use the mp3 player in the car if someone else was using the car stereo for their music!!

Hope that helps

True probably the best earphones that come with a player but they are still average at best I'd advise everyone get soundmagic pl30 phones from mp4nation £14-95 delivered sound like £100 + phones. If you do stick with the sonys can i advise to buy some shure triple flanges or a seal is impossible.

Right - got mine a couple of days ago, and have spent a few minutes getting to know it. First of all, the sound is amazing. I had read all the reviews, but couldn't quite believe them - anyway, yes it is as good as they say. You can hear almost every detail, and that's just me playing a 128kbs mp3 track.

Loading an iPlayer show from the BBC was not as painless as it could have been: I had to use IE8 to access the "download to a portable player" option, and then sync that show via Media Player 11 (using Win7, if anyone was wondering), but once sideloaded, it was looking great on the tiny screen. Definitely watchable for a 30 or 45 minute show (an hour might be pushing it, but you might get away with it too).
At the moment, I have not installed any Sony software, and am using MP11 to sync everything.

So far so good. Very happy - Thanks again, OP
