ahh yes. The times spent unravelling what seemed like miles of tape that had wrapped around the head and pinch wheel. Don't get that level of fun with an iPod ! Kids today don't know they're born ! :D

Perfect for those hundreds of tapes full of the old top 40 chart countown on Sundays, or for those mixtapes we all made with our decks as teenagers :D.

What's a cassette, daddy?

This is also a pretty good price, I'm sure there was a walkman offer on here for £23 recently.
#15
now if that was the yellow sports walkman I'd be buying it immediately
#16
what is this gadget?
#17
Buy the right lead and you can use this to convert your best old tapes to mp3.

I remember getting a great deal on a walkman down the Edgware Road in London many years ago. It was aluminium bodied, had turbo bass and graphic equalizers, and only cost around £140.00, those were the days.

Does it have AUTO-REVERSE ? The ultimate walkman function.

The fontopia headphones, are they the ones with the dual port style? They are worth this I think.

How much are the tapes, how much music can you put on the tapes and how do you transfer the music onto the tapes?

I remember the days of doing medical procedures on my twisted up tapes, finding the twisted part, cutting it out and cello taping it back together.

How many GB of MP3s can I fit on this?

Does it stream video to Apple TV?

I once thought I'd found a tape with some strange new techno/acid type music.

Turned out to be a copy of Pitstop 2 for the C64 :D.

And make sure he wears Farah's, at least 3 inches too short.

If you are into your retro Sony (walkman/discman etc) then this is a good website Walkman Central

With the handy belt clip I can attach it to my belt. This is a hot deal. Takes me back 20 years.

I suggest the video for Cliff Richard's 'Wired for Sound' for a reminder of the depths of coolness that cassette Walkmans bestow upon their wearers.

I still have my Sony DC2 and Nakamichi BX-125E, though both have been shelved for some considerable time. I felt like a king on the occasion of each purchase, and spent like one too as they certainly weren't cheap relative to my meager income.
