Manufacturer's Description:

Slim and lightweight, the WM-FX290 is compact enough to fit in your shirt pocket, but that doesn't stop it from boasting a host of great features. One "AA" battery is enough to power it for up to 35 hours, and the tuner includes FM, AM, TV and weather bands. It has 40 station presets, and digital auto preset scanning. Includes Mega Bass Sound System and a digital LCD Display. Plus, you get some great accessories, like MDR-023 stereo headphones and a carry case with belt clip.

Been after one of these for YEARS, finally saved up enough money to buy 1, at LOOK at that price, wont get any better than that folks. Get em while you can.

Why? If your not interested in it, why even bother posting or even looking at this thread?

If there was a Betamax on here for 30 quid would it be a good deal because I can't get one cheaper anywhere else?

At least it is a Sony........

Anybody actually bought this?

It would take alot of work to convert lots of tapes, but in a few years time you won't be able to repair the players when they break due to a lack of parts ect

Amazed they still make these!
#18
Bah there will be second hand cassette players on ebay for years to come.

Still would prefer a walkman 6 pro though second hand off ebay but £100 for a decent example of a machine that used to cost £300.

Meant to say, why is this a deal? (seeing as it's the same price elsewhere)

What's is this a deal? What exactly do you mean by that?
#20
I hope it has auto-reverse (I remember having one and thinking I was something else!).
#21
I don't see many deals on this site that I like... but the forum is great craic!
#22
OK so it's a bit old hat but by God it made me smile!
Can the mods invent a wooden spoon award for the coldest deal?
I think this is a worthy champion!
#23
Why this deal so cold. :-)

Why this deal so cold. :-)

1) Probably people voting cold because it's old technology (not a valid reason)

2) It's similarly priced elsewhere (valid)
