#3

#4

Agree DAB aint great.

Not a good bedroom clock, you won't be able to see the time in the dark.

It has a backlight with adjustable levels, so you will see it just fine in the dark.

Mono LCD = FAIL

I read a review that said the display was very bright (practically lights up the whole room) and therefore not suitable as a bedside alarm!!!
#14
Well I bought it for the MIL so that'll make her happy. Job done, exactly what she was after and good old Sony as well. Have some DAB heat...
#15
Thanks, been wanting a new alarm clock & radio.
Heat added
#16
Is it backlit?

In the night.... can't see nowt all...................

Had a talking clock at one point, Mrs threw it out the window one night..........

DAB is dead[/QUOTE]

Shame you think so! I adore my DAB radios, Planet Rock truely rocks! lol
Maybe a few more DAB fans should stand up and be counted?

Voted Hot, great price, was very expensive last year
#18
The real issue is that DAB is not being forced to be adopted like DVB, so will never get the support it needs while FM is still used...

Illlumination off if you read the post instead of just thinking you read somewhere that it gets too bright.

I wouldn't be without DAB - Its so so so much better that FM/MW and so easy to use.
#21
Have just received mine & I can say that on its highest setting the backlight is very bright (it does indeed light up the room), but with three settings of brightness, the lowest is just fine for me.
#22
nice deal, ordered, thanks
