Description from John Lewis

This neat Sony DAB radio takes up hardly any room at all, making it perfect for a kitchen worktop. And with a 1 - 120 minute timer built in, youll find it hard to accidentally over cook the dish youre rustling up.
The Sony XDRS7W also has an FM tuner for more station choice, and an easy-to-read 2-line amber backlit display.

Operation is simple thanks to auto-tuning, and there are 20 presets for your favourite stations. A handy socket allows you to listen with your own headphones without disturbing others.

I got 2 of these when they were last posted got Richer Sounds to price match and beat the price by a fiver so they were only £20 each. Neither have any hum or buzz when on standby, excellent DAB units for £20/£25.

obviously the discernibility of high-pitched noises varies greatly between person to person, i must be quite receptive to them, bu**gger.
