Seems that the Sony Mobile Store is the only major retailer that stocks it, obviously because its the Sony Store, it is probably the most useful XPERIA at the moment as it actually has a Micro SD card slot but doesnt have a front camera unlike its younger sibling, the U.

There are only 8 days left of Q3. I don't trust Sony with updates whatsoever.

I don't see why not. They upgraded the Experia Arc S to ICS months ago, in a simple and painless way , exactly as planned. The HTC Desire S was another story, it has only just got one possible upgrade to ICS by a rather convoluted process on the HTC website, I bet most people can't find it.

Also this has been available on O2 for a while now though it costs more and it's locked

This has more storage, larger screen and is lighter.

I think the Xperia Arc S is only £20 more. Better camera

It is fairly old though. Well in terms of the tech world if you understand. And this is dualcore, even though it is 0.4Ghz less, easily can be tuned to 1.4Ghz by a custom kernel.

How does it not having a front camera make it useful ? oO

I had a nightmare ordering from Sony direct. They send the package from the czech republic by DHL. When DHL lost it Sony refused to refund me the money until I returned it to them. Two months later I finally got the refund but not after several complaints and £15+ on phone calls to their 08 number.

If you go for this deal and can get a price match from a UK located dealer, I would recommend that option.

I am with Razzmataz for that. The Xperia U costs £100. This one is £79 more expensive. The only advantage I can see is a microSD card slot. 0.2in bigger screen and a few grams off don't warrant the price hike.
