  Yea, it's a terrible idea whoever thought it up. It's not doing them any good.
  They should have stuck with the Xperia S as the flagship, and the Arc S as the budget phone and bring out subsequent 2, 3, 4, 5 versions and so on every 12-months or so.

  Liked the look and spec of this but tried it in store and buttons are in wrong place for me, power button on the side pretty much exactly where I'd be holding it. :(

  I have a fond spot for my old Sony (Ericsson) phones. The phones always felt reassuringly well made (K750i, K810i, W995), though they made a hash of it with the C902 onwards. The cameras and inbuilt media players were always brilliant.
  
  If they bring out a flagship phone that's a serious contender I can see me going back to them...My S3 does feel disappointingly plasticky but I get round that by putting a shockproof cover on. And I prefer HTC Sense to TouchWiz, but that's another story...

  This is a good price for Sony's new flagship phone. Although it is not quad-core, and therefore can't match the SGS3 or One X on paper, it does perform very well against them in the benchmarks I've seen. It is also built to a much higher standard than the SGS3 or One X, and feels much more solid and sturdy. In case anyone cares, this is also the phone that James Bond will be using in Skyfall.

  Hot, but I wouldn't buy, Sony WILL NOT update it from 4.1 within a year, if ever, never believe a word they say.

  I have got the S excellent phone. this one looks and is slightly better. Great phone for this price not sure how easy to unlock. For this price nothing else comes near it.

  agree, i also did, but it f.ucked my phone, became so slow, sent it back to restore to 2.3
