for anyone who isn't a new customer with Very.co.UK, I bought my Z3 compact for £324.99+£10 top-up last week in my local EE shop; the price displayed was £349 but when I got to the check-out, it scanned at £324.99...

Is this the D8503 model?

Not the cheapest it's been, but still a decent deal plus 7%/1% quidco.. I've just taken the plunge! I'm hoping amazon don't drop it again anytime soon!

What's the significance of this model number? Just in case I go for one. Thanks

the cheapest i i could find and my friend (manager of a three) said the same. i got an orange one and paid in one hit. just a shame about royal mails backlog causing an extra day!

If you ordered before midnight last night Quidco was 11%/1% and week up to the 18th there was 20% discount from Very too! Unfortunately, a time machine hasn't been perfected yet.

BTW you need to take out a credit account to get the Very discount.

If you decide to get from EE instead (as Isis suggests) then it will be locked to EE, whereas it's SIM-free from Very.

The D8503 doesn't exist.

The D5803 however has all the 4G LTE bands used in the UK. The D5833 doesn't have band 3 (800mhz) so won't work on some UK networks. Only partial coverage on EE and Three.

Thanks for the warning about 5833 as I was about to buy from Simply Electronics (£304) or eGlobal Central (£292)

Specifically it appears band 20 is not supported in the 5833 and both 02 and Vodaphone use this band.

I tried buying this and they cancelled my order, phoned them up and they said you can't use the 10% off code on phones and other gadgets.

I tried buying on Friday but order is stuck on "processing" and to be delivered on 3rd. Have had no luck getting in touch with them to resolve. I suspect foul play.

So glad I didn't order.

Very sorted out the problem which appeared to be a system error. Only 3 days late and goodwill reduced it to just over£300. Is a fantastic phone.

This would be my first android having fully bought into Apple Eco system. I just hate the iPhone 6, dimensions are terrible. Sony phone felt perfect
