This is my kids favourite game. They prefer it to Little Big Planet and Lego Batman (which are the next most played).

I bought it and got really disappointed with it, :(

My little bro seems hellbent on getting it, but I'm not buying any more games :x From what I've read it seems to have too little replayability, aside from online. Beat the main Arcade and that's about it. Would that be a fair statement?

I really like the game - but the single player support isn't a patch on SC3. I love having matches with my housemates - but i can't stand online multiplayer, so i find the game very limited

Yeh, I can't even really be bothered with that. Much rather play my wii for four play matches on super smash brothers.

well, there is also story mode, with a unique ending for every (main) character, and tower of souls, which is an interesting setup, but not as developed as the single player modes in previous games.

Arcade is one of the toughest modes to beat i suppose, unless you use Vader (i haven't tried it yet with Yoda)

Beat-em-up's are best played by two players or on-line.

The single player modes are limited for all games of this gender - you just battle your way from one character to the next, unlocking new one's as you go.

The real challenge is beating a "real" opponent, and that is where this game is great.

The graphics and backdrops are top quality also.

yes, but one of the great things about the SC series has always been it's interesting alternative single player modes. Edgemaster Mode, Chronicles of the Sword, etc, all these were far more developed than "just battle your way from one character to the next, unlocking new one's as you go." Thats why i loved them. But this one has gone backwards, and joined the rank and file of fighting games, which look good, but aren't innovative

One of the best two-player games in my opinion. A group of mates sat around this for a few hours is fun fun fun!

I won't even question the graphical aspect, or the physical gameplay as I expect SC4 is the best, most beautiful fighter around (I know the original was!) If the game had the Edgemaster mode (or whatever variation you may want to call it :)) I would definitely be sold, as at least there would be some long-term single playability.

Still may be tempted if it falls below the £15 mark. Under £10 and sold :P But for now, I have 11 games to play through, and another... 36 hours or so until I get my mits on teh seXbox!
