I prefer the sound of these to my Sennheiser CX 300's. Sounds great with my Rockboxed Sansa Clip. For £10 you cant really go wrong.

Great deal. I bought some of these as a cheap travelling pair to replace several sets of Sennheisers I've had. These have lasted longer than all my pairs put together and the sounds quality is great, if not better!

if you go onto http://www.rockbox.org and follow the instructions - takes about 15 mins and its free. The Sansa's sound a million times better afterwards. So for about £40 you have a setup that sounds superb.

Sorted, any themes you'd recommend the stock one looks bad!

The only problem with rockbox is that they assume everyone using it has 20/20 vision. As I don't I have to change he font to 12. My son however has the Sansa Zip with rockbox and he has played Doom on it!. I have trouble finding the device itself as its so small. For the best themes probably go on the forums.

Are these the same ones that are £9.90 on eBay?

Tread carefully. I've been had before with cheap knockoff headphones on eBay...

but do they sound great?

How much better are the E10s? Are they worth the extra?
Looking for some good budget headphones as back up for when I lose my EarPods.
Thanks.

Bought some E10s from another thread on here @ £23 from Amazon, still waiting for delivery but might nip into Richer Sounds for a pair of these as well.
My daughter has had some pl11s for over a year and very impressed with them.
Not sure how much better the E10s will be over this apart from maybe better quality construction but it seems Soundmagic earphones are great value for money.

For those that don't mind waiting 3 weeks you can get the pl11s for £8.62 delivered here
Bought quite a bit of kit from them, good seller.

I have had range of headphones over the years porta pro's, sennheisers, altecs etc and these are a good piece of kit. They are not over bassy and there is god definition. Quite punchy and are reasonably small so don't protrude too far out you ear plus the red leads are a bit different

How do these compare to the E10s? I'm after a decent pair of headphones but within a £30 quid budget for work. Is there a noticeable difference in sound quality?

Just read this on a site
I believe es18 and e10 is using the same driver, the sound isn't too different e10 is slightly better and clearer but not by a mile. Its's about 80-90% of an e10. For the build quality e10's new version have better body (metal) and cables (twisted), es18's new version however have an improved cable its better than e10's old version cables. es18's new cable feels sturdy and comparable to hisound popo's cable but not that thick.

My E10's from the Amazon offer got delivered today, they sound great so if they are anything like those they will be good.

Well neither brand has any quality earphones so not a lot tbh, so it will only be down to marketing and failure of people to look beyond the high street.

Out of stock

The stores all keep a stock of these so they can be ordered and picked up. It's great so see that a HUKD can drink the bar dry.

Have you phoned up every store in the uk to check stock levels? I was thinking about it but drinking a can of Grolsch seemed more appealing.

Tried Rockbox and as you say unless you have good vision it's unuasable and the stock software is easy to use and the sound is good and loud once you set it to non European.

Not true, beats aren't great I agree, (got the beats pro's) but Apple's in ear earphones have been rated very highly, especially by Which Magazine. They cost £70 but apparently they're fantastic, Apple don't really advertise them though. The EarPods aren't even that bad.

Just got mine from Guildford store! Amazing sound quality! :) Like some of the reviews say though the wire isnt the greatest! Its like the old walkman style peel off wires, the sound quality though is awesome!

I think I read somewhere that Beats has a common problem of änal leakage.

At £70 they should sound bloody fantastic, for a tenner I've got a pair of buds that sound bloody amazing, not sure another 60 quid will jack up the quality by that much.

I understand that but I think you've missed my point, people slate things like Beats but then talk about how awesome Bose are. Believe me I also agree there is no need to buy expensive earphones, my EarPods do me fine but don't forget there are some audiophiles on here and £70 would represent a bargain for what a lot of them pay for their earphones.
