I recently was in the market for some new headphones and looked around a bit and found these, which are considerably better than my old sennheiser cx-400s and a similar price.
I don't wanna sounds like an advert but they are a bargain for the clarity and depth you get.
They even have a little bit on the headphones which, if you turn it, will change them from clear to deep bass, although clear is plenty bassy (I find treble booster the best EQ on my ipod)

I don't know if anyone else here has tried them here?
I know these are no £100 set, but still pretty good.

These are excellent earphones, especially when they have been burned-in for 100 hours or so. However, I buy mine from Mp4nation, where they are often on offer, sometimes almost half this price.

Focalprice & Mp4nation both show pricing in dollars, where are they based? Hong Kong?

How can you tell if buying from either of these suppliers that they are genuine?

Ironic that focal point actually describe them as 'genuine' when you realise that Sound Magic are a Chinese company. Shenzhen SoundMAGIC Technology Development Co., Ltd. - http://www.soundmagic.com.cn/en/home/Default.html

That would be justice wouldn't it - a Chinese company produce counterfeits of a Chinese company's product :)

I got mine from focalprice, great headphones for not a lot of money

I'd read reviews that the PL11 has a lot more bass than these beauties, for bassheads
