Personally I think even at this price its a rip off. Their service sucks MAJORLY.

Just wait for all the trains to be cancelled as usual when it is a public holiday!
radishbanned#6
I might be wrong, but reading the text it seems that it isn't 2 for 1 London offers, such as attractions and you can't get 2 for 1 train tickets to London.
penny less#7
the 2 for 1 offer is for London attraction tickets (if you are heading up that way)

Apologies for the earlier title. I read the deal wrong. Have corrected it now. Still £10 for Southampton to London can't be sneezed at. I can't believe people are doubting the reliability of South west trains! Have some faith in British public transport! (Yeah right).

This would've been great for visiting Notting Hill Carnival except they've slyly stopped the offer before Bank Holiday weekend.

This website might be quite useful for people travelling by National Rail from anywhere into London to take advantage of 2 for 1 on London attractions:

http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/attraction-types/2for1london.aspx

[COLOR="Blue"]What kinds of train tickets are valid for this promotion?

2FOR1 and special offers/admission vouchers are available with almost ANY type of train tickets issued to London on normal 'paper' ticket stock (i.e. not electronic or 'smartcard' but for exceptions see below) and valid on the day you wish to the visit the attraction, theatre, or restaurant, e.g. National Rail issued tickets include Off-Peak, Super Off-Peak, Travelcard, Advance, Anytime, Season Tickets and various promotional travel tickets that may be issued from time to time, etc...

By way of recognition most rail travel tickets show the Double-Arrow (or 'crows-foot') National Rail logo, then you're safe to assume it is valid. If you are unsure in any way please ask at your local staffed National Rail station.

London Underground issued tickets (including Travelcards) are NOT valid and will not be accepted at any attraction.

Seems as though everyone is wanting to head to London, i'm the opposite. Where would be best for a day trip out - Bournemouth or Southampton? Never been to either.

* The Bournemouth Bus special fare is not available on 22/23 August.
