I have been doing this route for a long time, travelling too and from uni so thought Id share the cheapness of it! Many other ridicolously cheap fairs on the site. Paying the real fari costs around £30, so a stunning discount, but you have to be early enough to book it! (usually around a week, tho if you miss out, the prices range from £2-£8 so still real cheap!)

This is by train so a lot quicker and nicer than national express coaches!

Just be careful when you get on the bus - my lad changed buses last year and ended up in London instead of Brighton !!

Sorry but this deal is not very good anymore. They no longer go into London from Southampton before 12 anymore, infact you get into London at about 14:30! It's alright I guess if you're coming from London to Southampton but not the otherway round and I've been unable to book cheap fares without about a month in advance for the last month or so.

I don't think there's anything new about 2011. All I know is that Stagecoach have been reducing their services throughout the country. This is quite well publicised and has clearly affected this route.

It's happened to me once. They didn't announce in Winchester that I needed to change buses and ended up in Oxford instead of London.

Since when has the last London to Southampton train been 1.30pm?

Obviously the routes are going to be limited - the whole point is to fill quiet trains, not just give everyone dirt cheap fares when they already have people willing to pay full price...
