Good price, I would prefer to pay more and go self-propelled, I dread mowing with the father-in-law's push mower, my self propelled drags me around the garden quite happily and doesn't dig in and get stuck in damp soil.

Has to be a self propelled one for me.

Had a sovereign from Homebase. Mine did not come with a briggs & stratton engine - it was very hard to start even though I changed spark plug and used new petrol. I sold it 2 years later for £30 as not working.

Here's a thorough guide how to that, including some maths, so you know it's proper >

Got one of these 3 weeks back for £119.
It starts first time every time, used about 8 times and its brill.

I've had one of these for 14 years. It still goes well but had to change the carburettor diaphragm (thank god for spell checkers) once which was quite easy and cheap and found out how to do this on YouTube. Much better than an electric one and well worth the money.

Why get a petrol mower that doesn't self propel?

Why get a petrol mower that doesn't self propel?

Why buy an electric mower with a lead?

It can cut grass when slightly wet. No need to worry about the mains lead.

Right, I wasn't advocating electric, just self-propelled!
