Probably better suited for making soups, stews, pasta sauces or pies than for sandwiches, etc., but still a cracker of a deal. Should be nationwide and not just a local offer (as mine is usually as dear as can be and rarely has decent offers)

It's a wonder they sweep up scraps of bacon off the floor, package it, get it to the shop, sell it for 44 pence and still make a profit.

This is not a national Spar deal.

Spar is actually separated into a number of regions, each region carries a national set of promotions but they also have their own local promotions.

Blackpool will be supplied by James Hall and son ltd who cover the north of england. This may be a store specific promotion or it may be one of James Hall's local promotions.

Once you get down to around Chester and North Wales then you hit AFBlakemores spar distribution area and this deal is not part of their promotions for this period

About 90% of spars are individually owned so it is very difficult to make a sweeping generalisation based upon work experience in one individual store.

Well, if it's not a national deal, it's definitely in DIckson Road, Blackpool, and I would suggest you buy some before I buy them out!!!

going to use on pack in a casserole with some stock, potatoes, carrots, swede, onions, dried herbs and stock; another in a bolognese sauce with some beef mince, tinned tomatoes, onions, garlic and dried herbs, and some more in a creamy pasta sauce. i may even knock up a chicken and bacon pie....

4 years for the company. But yes I agree.

I still think it sucks though.
