Update 27th Oct

24-hour discount on the Golden Joysticks Pack which will apply a 96% (£23.99) saving on that tile, making it just £1. Previously customers had to vote in the awards to get a code, however, for the next 24-hours, this code will work!

The code is: GTA59D-WU8Y43-KTNFJ4

It's time again for voting in the Golden Joystick Awards, and once again they have a promotion in conjunction with Green Man Gaming to encourage voting. Last year it was Bioshock Infinite, this year they're offering Spec Ops: The Line, Sid Meier's Pirates! and a Green Man Gaming Mystery Pack - for £1, in conjunction with submitting your votes to this year's awards.

You’ll also get your money back if you play Spec Ops: The Line (no details yet of how this will work, but I'd assume that this would be as GMG account credit).

Full details and voting form at the "get deal" link: http://www.gamesradar.com/goldenjoystickawards/

Official blurb:

(Usual terms and conditions apply.)

My "get deal" link has been changed to redirect to GMG, no idea why and I don't seem able to revert it back...

Correct link here: http://www.gamesradar.com/goldenjoystickawards/

I'm off to find a mod...

I think I recognised one, but that was it. I skipped that category.

Certainly it gets a fair few of my votes. Blood and Wine's omission from most of the categories ought to be a crime, though. (_;)

Blood and Wine should have been added to 'Game of the Year' category, even if it's an expansion pass.

Lord knows why PES 2017 and FIFA 17 are on there.

That was three years ago, you've missed quite a lot since then :p

Last year was Bioshock Infinite for £1; for 2014 it was XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

Jesus, was that really 3 years ago?! Yup, got xcom and bioshock from them too, not even got round to install bioshock yet!

Good offer and all but the mass advertising going on on that website is ridiculous, nearly crashed chrome for me multiple times.

Still is sort of free, you get back your pound if you play spec ops... not sure it's worth the install though...

Op, you forgot an important thing:

And you’ll get your money back (£1/$1/€1) if you play Spec Ops: The Line.

and Why is "no Man 's Sky" in the Best Indie game category? Indie with budgets of Millions???

Why is it in the innovation of the year category when spore did the same thing years earlier? Why is Hello Games up for studio of the year when they only released one game which was late, met to crappy reviews, and which they lied about the features of? Why is Civ 6 up for PC game of the year when it's not even out for another month? The Last Guardian doesn't come out until after they announce the results and yet that's up for best PS4 game.

Hard to take these major gaming awards seriously really.

Yeah I know, many bonker things in these awards. Many games are not even out yet!

Yeah, good suggestion - added. For future reference, you can add details such as this yourself, with the "edit" link (your addition would get appended to the end of the description).

It's a big-budget indie game, but still an indie game.

Just don't vote for them if you don't think that they should win! :pCiv VI at least will be released before voting ends.

I mean you can probably already tell I didn't vote for them :p Doesn't make it any less ridiculous that they're even in the running to win. Just seems like it undermines the value/ prestige the awards should have.

Wouldn't be a mystery if I told you ;)

Offering rewards like this makes the awards pretty pointless (or MORE pointless, if the comments above are anything to go by), cos you end up with the likes of me, who hasn't played 99% of the games, hasn't heard of half of them, just voting for anything for the vote reward. But hey, if that's how they want to do it, I shan't complain, quite fancy Spec Ops for a quid :D

There must be at least one category that you know something about, surely? :p

If in doubt, vote for Deus Ex where you can (and where Blood and Wine isn't an available option). :)

Oh yeah, best game platform I could give a genuine vote for lol. Most of the categories just made me realise how hopelessly out of touch with gaming I've become!

Not a particularly good incentive this year. Given that previous years have been Xcom enemy unkown, Bioshock infinite etc. Spec Ops and Pirates have been in bundles a few times and are quite old.
Good for those who don't have it though as Spec ops the line is quite fun. although i need to revisit it as i think i stopped playing when i got stuck at a particularly annoying bit.

Anyone heard back yet how to redeem the games for a quid?
