The Glass one on the outside does not seem to work but the main one is working fine.

I live in Brighton and have been there, using this offer, with my family and it worked fine.

Great fun on the glass floor!

This is about half the normal rate.... went last week, they dont do family tickets and it was about £25 for 2+2 so we didnt bother, just a big poster outside showing the £12.50 deal but as I dont carry a printer with me was a totally pointless poster.

the car park is hideously expensive and park-n-ride which we drove to only runs on the odd weekend so expect the bill to run up there as well

wont be going back again...

Typical Great British day out, dont you just love this country?
#12
Who would pay for this?.
#13
I remember seeing this tower when I went on the Pride of Bilbao out of Portsmouth
#14
Went up the tower last year kids loved it.
Thought Portsmouth ctr was great and very clean.
and only toilets ive been to offering complementary mints eh !!!!!!!!!
#15
The parking isn't cheap, but there is parking elsewhere in the city if you can be bothered to walk. The views from the top of the tower are pretty good, definitely worth one visit.
#16
There's a couple of tower blocks across the other side of the harbour where you could probably get the view for free :D I can't believe people would pay this reduced rate to go up there let alone full price.

you must have had your eyes shut !

you'd have a job , the tower looks out to the Isle of Wight and has fantastic views of the solent , so your point is ? and most people I speak to love the tower and the Gunwharf and come from all parts of the country to visit the city , the historic dockyard and often comment on how clean it is.

Highest freestanding viewing platform in the UK . Fastest inclined lift in the UK ( was the world ) .

Not a bad deal voted hot. Travel lodge is doing a similar deal but is trumped by this if it's a room for a whole family with a nice view.

Hun it's not a hotel:) That's the price just go up the tower and have a look round:)

I thought the Gunwharf area of Portsmouth (where this is) was really nice - I don't see what people are moaning about on that aspect. I do tend to agree that the Spinnakar its not amazing value for what it is though.

:x:x:x:x:x oh and FYI we are at war, so not a clever comment really.

no your absolutely right Miss Tinkerbell & i do appologise as Portsmouth is already at war judging by the state of it !!!
#25
park and ride now every saturday and also bank holidays £2.50 per car.
#26
I live there and to be honest it's pants! - but Gunwharf is good if you're not local, fantastic views and eating and pubs. But wudn't waste money on the tower!

Yeah, I thought the same for a moment but I think the Dubai building's a little more impressive...

In fact thinking about it i've been in this building almost exactly 10 years ago.
#28
Flipping heck I thought it was a hotel based on the one in dubai, was just about to tell my bird I would take her there. Anyway I'm proud that they can make things like this in this country. We are not commodity based like dubai et al so building something like this is an achievement.
#29
Ha i thought it was a dubai offer was thinking i'm off there!!

We live in the Pompey area and I've never been. Hubby has taken our eldest son and they enjoyed it but reckon you need a crystal clear day to make it worthwhile. Alternatively park at the top of Portsdown Hill for free and grab yourself a tasty burger! :)
