Special Edition Red DSi XL with New Super Mario Bros Bundle (DSi and DS Lite)

Order no.: 1012733

The Nintendo DSi XL includes pre-loaded software:

* Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training: Arts Edition.
* Dictionary 6 in 1 with Camera Function.
* Nintendo DSi Browser (access the Internet from anywhere with a Wi-Fi connection).

Get ready to experience your favourite Nintendo DS games like never before – on the big screens and via the wider viewing angle of the Nintendo DSi XL.

The new handheld console sports two 4.2 inch screens – 93% bigger than the screen on the Nintendo DS Lite. In addition, the new screens have a much wider viewing angle, making it easy for you to watch and share the fun. Whether it’s encouraging family or friends to beat your score on Dr Kawashima’s Little Bit of Brain Training, solving the mysteries of Professor Layton together or simply offering ‘helpful’ backseat advice during a frantic race in Mario Kart, the Nintendo DSi XL opens up a new world of shared handheld gaming whilst breathing new life into your favourite Nintendo DS games as you experience them on the big screen.

The new handheld is a premium addition to the Nintendo DS family, coming pre-loaded with some top software: Dr Kawashima’s: Little Bit of Brain Training: Arts Edition and Dictionary 6 in 1 with Camera Function and the Nintendo DSi Browser, which enables you to easily access the internet from anywhere with a Wi-Fi connection. The console is launching in two colours – wine red and dark brown, with a glossy sheen on top and matt finish on the underside that provides excellent grip when resting on a table or other surface during gameplay. It also features a larger pen-like stylus, making gameplay more comfortable and natural.

The Nintendo DSi XL will feature the full capabilities of the original Nintendo DSi. Packed with features such as the ability to create, customise and share photos with friends and family, listen to and play with your music and sounds and download games.

Nintendo DSi XL is the fourth member of the Nintendo DS family. It features the trademark dual screens and the simple-to-use controls that players have come to love, but will take your gaming experience to a new level.

New Super Mario Bros.

Twenty years after Nintendo’s biggest franchise was born, the Mario Bros. return in a dazzling, all-new platformer sure to set players’ fingers twitching. Fans from Mario’s classic days will see their dreams answered in this return to the Mushroom Kingdom, while a new generation of Mario players will learn what true platforming greatness means.

Run, jump and battle enemies through multiple levels in each world. Every time players finish one world, they can move onto the next, but each level features impediments in the forms of fortresses, Hammer Bros. and bosses. After defeating the boss of each world, players can move on to the next, culminating in the final fight in the last world.

Mario and Luigi can do all kinds of jump maneuvers: increasingly high triple jumps, wall jumps and high bounces off enemies. Mario also can use power-ups like Mushrooms (grow big), Fire Flowers (throw fireballs), Starmen (become invincible), Blue Shells (turn into a speedy, blue Koopa shell) and other mushrooms that make him tiny or huge.

In addition to the main game and the wireless two-player mode, players also can use the touch screen to play tons of minigames (either by themselves or over DS Local Area Network with 1 to 4 players via DS Download Play). These include card games, targetbopping-type games and much more.

* Jump, bounce and power-up through visually stunning side-scrolling worlds filled with Mushroom Kingdom madness. Mushrooms make Mario ultra-tiny or ultrahuge, and new items like the Blue Shell (which transforms Mario into a spinning shell that wipes out enemies) will keep players on their toes.
* The worlds are swarming with classic enemies like Goombas and Koopas, but watch out for new foes, big bosses and unbelievable challenges.
* As Mario and Luigi, two players can battle for stars on specially designed levels over local wireless. The game won’t end until one bro. reigns supreme.

As I mentioned I am not familiar with this retailer. Does anybody have any experience with them?

Some details about this merchant:

If a new merchant is posted we take time to research them before deciding if a deal should remain on the forum.
Threads are temporarily removed. We feel that it is better to be safe than sorry i.e if it turns out to be a scam, fake goods etc by spamming whilst we check ensures that no more HUKDers are entrapped by a (for example) rogue trader.
Thanks for your patience in this matter fp but I'm sure you'd rather the company is looked into (as you also requested this in the thread) rather than not.
In this case they appear to be legit as it turns out to be an ex-Amazon finance director - John Pollard - that has launched his own online video game retail website.
But it is standard practice for HUKD mods/admin to look into new merchants rather than let any deal thread through in the interest of protecting our members

John Pollard launches playgamesuk.com in Ribchester

Ex-Amazon finance director John Pollard has launched his own online video game retail website.

According to the Lancashire Telegraph, Playgamesuk.com is based in Preston Road in Ribchester and Pollard hopes to double his company's £1 million turnover.

“They basically sold games they no longer wanted and it proved so popular that we began speaking to distributors about selling various accessories as well," said Pollard.

“In the end, we started selling new Nintendo Wii games on eBay and other stock we had imported from America, until we became so busy that we decided to create our own website, and that’s how Playgamesuk.com came into being.”

I'm not going to vote on this yet, until someone can confirm something I saw on telly last night (I am not sure if I was dreaming or not).

But I am sure I saw an advert on the box last night for GAME, who are selling this exact bundle for £140 instore. Could someone confirm this if going into a GAME store today?
Since I listed this deal, GAME.co.uk have dropped their online price:

Just wanted to say thanks a million for posting this offer as I had been hunting around for this after Game had sold out.
I ordered one late on Monday night and it came by Parcelforce today and all seems perfect. I am going to have a very grateful son on Christmas morning.
Once again many thanks and Merry Christmas
