Thanks. Just ordered one after a failed order on a similar remote with ebuyer.

Nice price, had a failed order on a similar remote from microdirect. Can anyone confirm whether this works *just* on Window Media Centre (i.e. the software not the OS), or will work with any/most software on PC's, iTunes, winamp, WMP, VLC etc?
All i really want it for is changing volume on itunes, pausing music and films etc, generally being lazy! But i know some of these remotes are just desgined for Media Centre

Previous thread on this remote here. According to a poster on that thread, the receiver can't be used with universal remotes.

Do these remotes allow for basic Windows control as well? i.e. cursor left/right for selecting files just in Windows Explorer or does it just work when in the world of MCE?

Thanks,
Andrew
