I bought some of these chillies the last time they where on offer. Used half of one on Saturday night with a cuury jar for dinner. Got hell off my wife and two kids for making it too hot. But I liked it!

best curry i've ever eaten was made with jolokia powder
I've also used these guys several times, always been happy. They also appear to be running from round the corner from my GFs house, I never knew that!

By the way, buying through the link on this deal, if you shoot for 25g, it costs you £2.99 plus £1.19 postage, but if you go through the same sellers ebay site, ie the one in the links listed in the comments earlier, for £2.97 plus post you will get 30g, or for £1.98 plus post you will get 20g, both slightly better deals, and from the same seller.

I know they are hot, but heat added anyway :-)

How much do you use for an average sized batch of chili?

That depends how hot you like it!

For it to be madras/vindaloo hot you wouldn't need more than one finely chopped pod.

A friend (should I call him that?!) got me a shot of this for my birthday:

They told me it was flavoured vodka. I spent the next 30 minutes with tears running down my face wishing I was never born... it was a good job the bar staff were kind enough to give me a free glass of milk! X) Never again oO
i had a similar experience, unfortunately it was with this stuff. http://www.hotsauceworld.com/source.html
for reference a lot of law enforcement pepper spray is roughly 1 million scovilles.
Ha, I've seen that on Man Vs. Food. The guy literally adds one drop to something he's making and the presenter (who likes hot food) almost explodes X)
Yeah its some powerful stuff, i can eat stuff like habaneros without too much hastle and i've eaten dorset nagas before and they didnt compare.
