It's an upstairs battle, but you'll be okay if you take it one step at a time.
Pick one up before prices spiral out of control.

Can you use these stairs for going down as well as up?
#19
Im groaning at the lot of you!!! - never have I seen so many 'bad' puns in 1 thread!!!!

Ill 'step down' from my soap box now ;)
#20
These are a "step up" from a normal staircase.....
#21
Is it clockwise or anticlockwise?
Complete the look with floorcovering from inspiral carpets....or have your loft conversion done by stairway to heaven....
#22
You're all just going round in cricles now.
#23
Dang. Puts my conventional stairs to shame.

Fire escape for the roof?
#25
I would only fit a spiral staircase as a main stairway as a last resort where there is no room for a conventional staircase. It will make the property so much harder to sell.
#26
How would you get your wardrobes, bed etc up the spiral staircase? Serious question!

The non-serious answer would be a huge catapult and a open window..

The serious answer would be flat-pack....?

You have taken spiral staircase jokes to a new level.
#30
Do they make anti-clockwise ones as this is the clockwise version?

Hey mate,

I've looked on the site and they do have out door stairs (Not cast iron) http://www.staircasewarehouse.com/kit-spiral-staircase/civik-zink-spiral-stair-kit-by-arke.html

If you really really want cast iron stairs stairs - you'd probably have to see a specialist. I saw an company near Tower Bridge (I cant remember the name - I'll leave a comment or PM you when i find out). Anyway its fairly expansive, but then again you get what you pay for.

I originally contacted Staircase Warehouse for custom made stairs, they came and did the measuring and and showed me possible stairs, design and customization. The staircases they showed me were beautiful but out of my budget - So in the end i brought the spiral stair.

I've seen the ebay stuff, its usually the companies who are just there to sell, and dont usually know much about the product (they read the manufacturers catalogue). Plus customer service is pretty crap and don't really know much about designing stairs or offer good advice.

Hope this helps

A bit off topic, but

Does anyone know who sung the songs '5 6 7 8' and 'Tragedy'?
