Mate just found this deal and looks to be the cheapest studio ghibli film I've seen in a while!
I would hurry up with this one if you want it because i wanted to buy Princess Mononoke at a reduced price but they caused some complications so they made me cancel the order and retry with the raised price.
So make use of this deal!!

my daughter has been collecting a lot of these films lately, they are excellent, i watched kiki's delivery service with her the other day, the kids were glued to it...she needs 3 more for her collection: Only Yesterday, grave of the fireflies and Arrietty, but havent found these cheap as of yet :)

Amazing film that appeals to all ages

This is a fine fine film. I encourage anyone not to have seen this to purchase!

Is this the original amazing Japanese version or the dreadful Americanised Disney one? By the way, if you look on fleabay, you can get the box set (from Malaysia, which is excellent) for about 20 sheets, with most of the original Ghibli masterpieces.

If your children are at all sensitive, I recommend watching grave of the fireflies yourself first! It's absolutely heartbreaking.

Seconded, I was choked beyond belief watching that film. It is absolutely brilliant, don't get me wrong, but it is tough going.

For me it was brutal, I was anticipating a light hearted adventure! Brilliant film though.

Yes, Grave of the Fireflies is not a kids movie. It just happens to be animated.

Grave of the Fireflies makes me burst into tears every time, it's a beautifully stunning piece of cinema even if I couldn't call the film enjoyable in a traditional sense.

Totally agree that Grave of the fireflies is not for a sensitive child - although when this was first released in 1988 it was a double bill with Totoro!

I guess I need to try watching it again; maybe this time I can forgive Seita for his pride...

It's probably a bootleg. Might as download them if you're going down that road.
This has both the Japanese and English versions btw

They used to show Meet the Yamada's after it in the cinema, because everybody was so upset and depressed! Its quite simply the best film I have ever watched once - I can't bring myself to watch it again.
