Mr.Matt
So should I buy a Switch for;
Mario Kart Deluxe (I have MK8 on WiiU)
Splatoon Deluxe (I have Splatoon on WiiU)
Zelda BTW (I can buy it on the same day for less on WiiU)
A Bomber man remaster.
Tough decisions. And of course the Switch will be the "most anticipated and ground breaking console of the year".
At least I'll be able to play Nintendo IPs on my gaming laptop soon enough after the Switch immediately bombs. I look forward to that.
Thanks for everything Nintendo. It's been a fun 35 years.
just 35 years? i've been with them since 1889 imagine how I feel! I will name drop you in my prayers tonight though. stay safe.
I had the Safe Buster and Orange DK hand held games that were 2 screens on a hinge, bit like a 3DS really. Game & Watch there called maybe?? How long can I claim for? :)
Calling Splatoon 2, Splatoon Deluxe must be a cheap shot though.

There are plenty of Nintendo deals on here that do go hot.
Well this is true, but I don't expect 'the others' care about silly 2DS console deals or notice a cheap 3DS game and they have switched bashing the Wii U for the Switch. Nintendo is clearly very alive too, much to the dismay of some and they can't get to all the deals I suppose.
Zelda and MK8 for Switch just over £40 gets 554 degrees , Mario Kart 8 Delux £45 500 degrees. Why didn't 'the others' bash these deals..
You'd have to ask the others. Maybe they were busy voting the Switch Console deals cold instead, or maybe a new generic shooter had just been released on that week. I really have no idea :)
I am not going to disagree either, or try and argue a case that HUKD voting always makes sense, I have been here long enough to get that too :)

Yea, voting doesn't always make sense but you seem determined that the two deals you have posted are part of some anti Nintendo drive rather than them being rubbish. I do find the idea that Nintendo of all people are some kind of niche game maker and not interested in the 'mainstream' amusing, the company that wanted you gran to pretend to play tennis in the living room..

You can post more than one image per comment, you realise? ;)

Decent price for now, compared to other retailers, but I'd be surprised not to see something better closer to the release date.

so is this a remaster or no? seems cheeky calling it a named sequel if it is just maps?

Maps, weapons and a new single player campaign.

Maps, weapons and a new single player campaign.

Some of the existing maps will be used again and updated again? A bit like you might some tracks updated and rearranged from one MK game to the next. Which along with all the new gameplay options + new levels would make it a justifiable sequel right? That's how I understand it anyway. If they were just adding some maps it would have been Splatoon Deluxe (like MK8 Deluxe).

To be fair, Nes games back in the 80's cost £50 a pop. I remember Boots doing 3/2... convincing the parents to drop £100 on 3 games was tough lol

LOL Splatoon on the 2DS, there's a thought. I'd be surprised if such old and low spec tech could even handle the frame rate on a game like Splatoon, I seriously doubt it.

If Winter = mainstream console voters, then yes that would be a quite rational explanation. Text book Switch game deal of recent days.

i never bought this for the wii u so sadly im out but good pre-order price

Aside from getting in to the pointless back and forth regarding last gen/home console/handheld/next gen/current gen nonsense, I'm betting this will come in a lot more expensive than Splatoon on the U, which I got sub £30 on release.

That said, I'm sure I'll be able to get it cheaper than this between now and the summer. As long as Nintendo's online fee isn't crazy (and Kamishima said 2-3000Y, which is £14-£21, but prices rarely translate, plus the crappy pound!!)
#33
By friday this will probably have been reposted twice at a lower price. Previous pre order switch game posts have taught us this.

Mainstream console owners? If it goes cold (it is 0 at the time of writing) it is because any preorder over £40 for a standard games goes cold and I don't see why the Switch should be any different, RRP is irrelevant. It's not the anti Nintendo brigade sabotaging your deals.

Isn't the Scorpio also due this year? I think Nintendo have done amazingly well at packaging the Wii U as a new console and advertising it well enough that no one has noticed.

I am honestly not bothered about it being cold, I am no heat chaser and knew it would go cold after posting recent similar Mario Odyssey post: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/super-mario-odyssey-switch-46-95-pre-order-free-delivery-coolshop-rrp-59-99-2613004 I just think it is important we keep posting the Switch deals and not let 'the others' have their way.

At the risk of it coming out the wrong way, I really don't wish to offend you either, but it would be naïve to think that the mass numbers of mainstream gamers who happen to have a dislike for Nintendo, don't have an impact on most Switch related deals.

I'm not offended, why would I be, but I feel you are being a little bit paranoid if you think people are voting cold because they hate Nintendo. Phrases like "not let 'the others' have their way" don't help. Like I said non special editions over £40 tend to go cold regardless of the platform. People also probably assume that close to launch the prices will go down and these are placeholders at best.

From what I've seen any pre order game over £40 tend to go cold, even Red Dead Redemption 2 (arguably one of the most anticipated game this year for 'mainstream systems') went -500 at £45.99. Zelda and Mario Kart got a lot of heat, being around £40.

will the switch support mobile internet connectivity? the online part of the original was a lot better than the single player mode.
