Played the demo at a friends house and I loved it.

Split/Second, an intense action racing game set within the world of a hyper-competitive reality television show. Competitors vie to be the first across the finish line in a made-for-TV city built for destruction, with the ultimate goal of becoming the season champion. Competitors in Split/Second don't just collide with other vehicles to knock them from the track - they can also trigger explosive events that drastically alter the dynamics of the race. Players must use strategy and pinpoint timing to derail opponents, tactically alter the track or create entirely new routes.

The price is normally £34.43 which is the cheapest price according to gamestracker but you can get even cheaper if you simply enter MM10 at the checkout to pay £30.99

and if you are undecided about this game then here is the demo: http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/media/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d802425607e7/?p=1&of=1&bt=0&sb=1#offers

Looking forward to trying the demo, but it's safe to say this won't hold its price for long.

Great game. I wanrt this and blur but will wait for the price to come down. Highly likely as neither of them are big name titles.

Infact, these titles are highly anticipated. The way economics works is if demand is high and supply is low (like for this game) then the price will be high (and vice-versa) inevitable the price will go down as demand goes down, but that won't be for a while and when it does go down it won't be by much.

I tried the demo over the weekend. Unfortunately it did not impress in terms of gameplay or graphics, so it's a definite no at any price.

That's not how gaming has worked in recent times, especially multi platform games. You can expect this game to fall to around the £20 mark before 2 months just like most other big multi platform games have this year.

What makes it more difficult for this game is that there are 4 racing games released within a week of each other - Split Second, Blur, Modnation, and SBK. Factor in some other big releases in the same month - Red Dead Redemption, Alan Wake, Lost Planet 2, Skate 3, UFC 2010, Prince of Persia, etc and you realise there are too many big games coming out in such a short time challenging each other for consumers money.

With all respect I don't think demand will be high and supply will be low for this game. I'll be picking this one up for £17.99 in the Zavvi Monday Madness before you know it along with a few other of those games.
