First post so be nice!

Was in Gamestation today and saw that Split/Second was on sale, new for £25 for Xbox 360. It might have also been the same price for the PS3 but didn't check.

Seems like a pretty good deal to me, closest price online is £35 that I could see...

Update: Went into town today and it's definitely the same price on the PS3 as well...

Preferred Split/Second myself.

Question to the OP were there any other good offers in gamestation?

They had some other alright deals, Band Hero (game only) was £13 which although you can get cheaper on Amazon seems like an alright price if you just want to grab it quick.

Heading into town again today so will let you know if they've got any other decent deals!

Blur is far far better. It's more robust. This game has a frame cap of 30 FPS on all consoles and even ridiculously on the pc. It runs observedly sluggish, which most people with a keen eye for gaming would know.

Get blur. far more thrilling. I have both games on all consoles, and pc.

From having played Blur's MP beta and Split/Second back at the Eurogamer Expo, I prefer Split/Second, my girlfriend definitely did hence the reason I'm getting it.

To be honest both games seem worth getting; on metacritic the 360 versions of both games have exactly the same rating, 82. So must be near identical right?!

Just a matter of taste... Also isn't it a little unnecessary to have the console versions and the PC versions? :whistling:

Yes but is this a matter of your taste? because from the sounds of it, you're getting it because your girlfriend likes it.

Got the PS3 version for £24.98. :)

have played both and prefer split second, far better looking, great action, keeps you interested and multi player is great,

Thanks:)

No other decent deals I'm afraid... Batman for a tenner seemed alright but...

I almost didn't buy BLUR because having played the beta I was underwhelmed. Glad I listened to the guys at mfgamers.com and took the plunge. There's so much to do. The single player is pretty deep. Split/Second is good too but online isn't as entertaining.

If you've only played the BLUR beta you haven't played BLUR.

BTW this deal is online now.

i tried to play the blur demo (mulitplayer demo only WTF) and couldnt find any games so didnt even get to try it
