Just picked mine up, these are still £24.99 in store so make sure you reserve online first and then they honour the internet price of £12.49 and the 10% discount for signing up to the newletter :)
#10
Did you get the same as on photo above? I picked mine up today as well, but it looks slightly different.
Shop assistant was shocked when system asked for 11.64...
#11
My store wouldn't honour the internet price - Edinburgh Corstorphine.

They said the online price was only for online purchases :-(

Cheers

Careful with these small tanks.. they are really not suitable for keeping any fish. Please don't put goldfish in them!

More info on suitable tanks here.. http://www.fishkeeping.co.uk/articles_81/tank-and-filter-beginners-guide.htm

Lots of other articles on this site worth reading. Look in the forums as well for plenty of sad stories where people have bought small tanks and seen their fish die.

We are going to get our fish for the tank tomorrow now that the tank has been set up for three days. We were going to get goldfish as thought these would be the easiest to care for, what would you recommend instead?

Three days is not long enough. There's some really old fashioned nonsense out there about keeping fish from way before the hobby became technically literate. It's actually quite a geeky pursuit now and doing it right is a lot more difficult than keeping small furry animals.

It's a good learning thing for kids that are old enough about biology and chemistry. There's lots (and lots) to read in the articles if you have the time.

Personally I think a tank that size is only suitable for sea monkeys http://www.keepingexoticpets.co.uk/your-aquarium-sea-monkeys.html.

They shouldn't really be allowed to sell tanks this size but the law hasn't got around to protecting fish in the same way as other animals.

Some shops treat fish as an instant pet and would probably have horses tied up outside for people to buy and people keep in their garden if they thought they'd get away with it!

Not kept coldwater or tropical fish.. but I know it can easily take a month or so before you can start to stock a marine tank. Mines been set up for 2 weeks and is still not ready for adding critters.
