For all the lovers of outdoors who enjoy an adventure, I was looking for a jacket for my brother in law for a travel we will be going on soon.

I came across this http://www.sportpursuit.com deal for this Jack Wolfskin outdoors coat, I call it a deal because those who love an adventure and appreciate the comfort of a fully water proof coat will also be aware that for this brand and spec, it truly is an amazing deal.

I used Sports Pursuit in the past when they had a Paramo sale and even rang up covent garden Paramo and kindly asked if they would price match in case the size was wrong.

The prices and delivery including their customer service is spot on, however, there is usually a little wait for delivery to take place.

I advise you to go to try on a coat for size if you decide to invest in one otherwise you will be waiting a while for things to get sorted out if it's wrong.

Here are some other online prices:

Cotswold Outdoor
Jack Wolfskin High Voltage XT ...
£320.00

eXXpozed.com
Jack Wolfskin High Voltage XT ...
£269.84

Zalando.co.uk
Jack Wolfskin High Voltage XT ...
£245.00

As you can see, this is a cracker of a deal.

I have heard good things about the Texapore material and many reviewers have said its alot more water resistant and breathable than Goretex, this in fact is made from a variant of Goretex from my understanding.

Thanks

Any website that forces you to join before even looking at anything is a joke and cold.

That is a purely ignorant statement.

I am aware that it is a members flash sales type of website, but with the Paramo jacket I paid a fantastic price, nearly £140 off the RRP.

Their customer service is fantastic, they have a telephone number if you need to talk to someone and their prices are rock bottom.

I too hate having to sign up to these flash style sites but its the nature of their business and for the saving, its completely worth it.

I receive an email once every few months from them so they don't bombard you either with spam

Yes it does.

It's for people who really love the outdoors, hiking and walking.

A jacket like this will last most people many years and go with them everywhere.

Why are they hiding behind a sign up process or is it to boost member numbers, imagine having to hand over details to go shopping in tesco etc.
No thanks

I use this website on a regular basis. If you can stomach a long wait for your item then good savings can be gained. As for the jacket na

No, buying from Tesco's is a completely different business set up.

They buy wholesale, then sell directly to the public.

With sportspursuit.com your group buying and sportspursuit.com are doing the wholesale buying on our behalf.

Its a fantastic business model and they always have the latest gear, not old stock they are trying to rid of.

Your comment and opinions are void on their business model and the business.

Nope, a shop is a shop, be it physical or digital, if I want to buy from you then ok have my details but not to browse.
That's my final thought on this.

Nope, a shop is not just a shop.

Adobe and Microsoft are both shops, they offer completely different terms and licenses with buying toothpaste from Tescos.

Seriously, I have no time to explain this.

You voted cold based on the fact you have to sign up, 95% of online shops require you to sign up at checkout.

What a joke

I voted cold as they want you to sign up before you even look at anything. Hell, I can't even confirm the deal price!

Wait, you seem to misunderstand what I'm saying.
I have no problem signing up to a site that I'm buying from, be it at the home screen or at the checkout, what I do have a problem with is not even being able to look at the homepage without being forced to sign up, again my analogy of tesco not letting you in the door before handing over details stands.

These are great coats, I have had my jack wolf skin for 14 years. It is well worn but a fantastic jacket

I say hot as Jack Wolfskin is excellent. Ok you have to sign up to a web site but if you want to order something you have to anyway. So no issue from me signed up about a year ago and got some great bargains from this site.

Thanks op, not going to buy jacket but looks like a good site.

Great website to use - good company too.

And they don't pester you with emails

I voted cold purely based on this post.

The hot and cold votes are not meant to judge ones observations, they are meant to be used to judge whether a listed item is a deal or not.

This listing is a fantastic listing, people would only vote cold out of ignorance or because they believe a cheaper jacket will suffice.

It's the truth anyway, I saw the other Lidl jacket got heated on here.
