Great deal, just annoying that it shows the usual lack of regard for existing subscribers.

Spotify is a complete waste of time - you can listen to everything for free on Youtube.

thats like saying that buying food is pointless, because you can eat for free in the bins outside mcdonalds

I'll really miss getting a 2 minute advert asking me to join the police force every 3 songs.

Cool. Been waiting for a deal like this and 3 months makes it worth while signing up. Thanks. Have some heat.

Spotify is awesome! I had Deezer and it just isnt as good as spotify even though they pretty much have the same amount of songs, Deezer is more artist / album/ song oriented and very difficult to make a playlist (i used http://spotizr.com/ to convert playlist) but spotify is just way better!

I managed to get the student discount for £4.99 a month. Not as good as this but at least that is for 12 months. Though, Im assuming after 3 months you can have the deal again.

Not a bad deal at all but there is better out there , Sony`s music unlimited is £4.99 a month for use on PC/PS3/PS4 , Has a much bigger catalogue (about 10 million more) compared to spotify and its higher quality than Spotify`s premium service.

Now the downside is - They don't have Led Zeppelin

Ta for this. Going to give it a go.

or Taylor Swift.

(Maybe that isn't a downside though)

I havent used spotify before but it says play ANY song. Surely they dont have everything on there.

Is there any way to find out before subscribing which artists/songs are on there?

This is a great deal... I hate how companies give new customers good deals and just ignore their existing customers though! Not saying I couldn't sign up again, but I like my own Spotify account and all my playlists!

Every so often there's a guy who does 6 months for £20 on eBay which I usually buy. I think he's foreign, I give him my account info and he adds it on for me so I don't have to do it via VPN. That's just as good as this deal... But it's still not the point. We live in a new customer world unfortunately!

They are crazy not to let previous customers take advantage of this! Good way to get people to resubscribe. Personally there is no way I use it enough to warranty £10 per month

this. I would have bitten, instead I will just leave it, I can live without it.

Hi all, does anyone know if this service is much better than Napster? I've only been using it as a trial came with my sonus machines and I've never changed it.

I'm paying £10 per month for the full service which i assume will be the same on Spotify.

i use spotify with my samsung wireless speakers, and personally i think its excellent. the only downside for me, is that there is no family subscription, allowing multiple devices. still....great deal!

Good news for you! Sony Music Unlimited does actually have Taylor Swift, it's Spotify that doesn't..

You just hit the + to add to (or create a new)playlist in Deezer, exactly the same as Spotify. But everyone's different. I love Spotify as a service but the interfaces on the apps are muddled and inconsistent. It's only been recently that you've been able to add an album as a whole entity without creating yet another custom playlist, now you can mark them as 'saved'. Their customer service is terrible and dismissive too.
All that said, the quality of the service and reliability of the streaming is excellent and as the bulk of time using it is spent listening to it then this is the overriding factor for me.

This is a cracking deal for new subs. Wish they get on with bringing reasonable family plans out......

No mention of Google Play Unlimited being better? I'll take that on... Google Play is much better value and now has the youtube pass included too :)

But what a great deal this is for new customers.. :)
#25
Spotify is free and no adverts if you use adblock plus :)
#26
I sympathise with the existing subscribers even though I am not one. I put up with the ads and use the service sparingly, so can't complain as it does the job. However, some members of the family and friends would benefit from a gift membership and have a question: Does anybody know if the student discount is applicable to this offer?
#27
They may have changed it, but as a Voda 4G customer I got spotify premium for £5 extra a month (Includes extra data too) after my 6 month trial ran out, I just told them I didn't want to pay the 9.99 they wanted to charge me. Worth a punt.

If you manage to get a Portuguese account, you can have 3 months for 0,99€, like 79p.
#30
I just started using this and if I start my free 30 days trial now, would it be possible to get the £9.99 paypal deal and make it 4 months total?

[edit: nvm]

You may only use this Introductory Trial Offer once. If you have subscribed to the Premium or Unlimited service or have taken a 30-day free trial offer or 60-day free trial offer previously, you are ineligible for this Introductory Trial Offer.

So after some trying I've found that this is impossible unless you have a portuguese bank account.

This is a great deal! I also took the Deezer equivalent offer a few months back and much prefer spotify personally (user interface etc).....

Took out the £8.67 per month times plus deal 2 weeks ago ....... Sunday times paper or tablet (your choice), times plus card (already used for 241 odeon at weekends and prezzo Mon - Thurs and Sunday) and spotify premium 12 months free..... At £8.67 each month for 12 months I think a bargain!!
