Little tasty fish - FRESH FISH - very cheap!
The great thing about these little things is that you don't even have to prepare them - you don't have to bone, de-scale, gut or anything! Just pop in a pan and fry as they are, then eat whole, head, tail and everything! Perfect for the lazy or the very busy who still want their Omega 3!
The bones are small and soft, it's a lot like eating sardines - in fact, sprats are often mistaken for sardines. (the sprats are about 4 inches long, 5 if you count the tail - mmm, nice and crispy tail!)
Also, forgot to mention: although they're available at the fish counter to your desired weight, they also have them (at least at my local Morrisons in SE London) pre-packaged cling-film wrapped on the usual styrofoam trays - saves you time queuing up and getting it bagged and priced.
