History
Champagne Jacquart is a union of co-operatives, it is owned by the winegrowers and its success derives from their insistence on traditional values, which give the best guarantee to consumers of the authenticity and excellence of their Champagne.

Regional info
The champagne region is in the north east of France & is best known for sparkling wine that bears the regions name. The 3 main grapes have high levels of acidity - ideal for making sparkling wine.

I read in a paper a few months ago that the reason there is a lot of cheap Champagne deals around is because the previous years vintage was very poor (due to weather I assume).

Therefore, I would be careful before trusting a review of how tasty the Champagne is if it was written more than 6 months ago!

However - good deal for champagne so I'm not voting hot or cold. :)

I love Champagne and I am not a snob with although I love the expensive ones I also enjoy Lanson but this stuff is horrid
