Just spotted these on play, we bought the girlfriends little boy a couple of these at Christmas for considerably more. So seems like a good price for some good fun.

I am glad you added "for the big kids" as I don't feel so immature now buying one!! Thanks for posting obers82 :)

How brittle are they?

It looks like plastic... even the metal ones break quickly under the sheer force of crushing the potato into a super-compact blob and then firing it....

Heat for price though

I was sure I heard a rumor a few years ago that Spudguns had been banned? I had about 4 of the metal type ones when I was a kid and they never lasted that long.

wjaime/cheepstuff - They are plastic ones but seem very sturdy and so far have not broke!!

MagicJay - I checked on Amazon before posting and if you put in spud gun in search it comes up with some great classics like them snap things you throw on the floor and the bang and cap guns etc.

Lol you call that a spud gun? there's no awkward design that makes it hurt when you pull the trigger.
This is a spud gun; http://p.playserver1.com/ProductImages/5/1/1/8/7/0/8/1/18078115_500x500_1.jpg

Got one of those Lone Star spud guns in poundland a few months ago. They quite often get them in stock.

Only the metal spud guns will have a place in my heart!
