Does anyone know if this is for a proper shower or does it push onto the taps? The description doesn't seem very clear:?

Proper shower head with all the bits.. not for tap attachment.

Seems a good price for the shower, heat added :-) xx

You stick the hose on your bath mixer tap shower outlet.

It certainly doesn't look like a full shower unit. Where is the temperature control? If it's labelled as 'single setting' then that usually means that the temperature is controlled at the source ie. the taps.

From the description given by Argos, this sounds exactly like the kind of thing that you fit to your taps.

He means a proper shower head that you screw onto a proper shower controller... not the tap-based thing your granny uses.

I bought this and it looked naff, ended up taking it back and changing it for this one:

£5 more but looks so much better.

Also the shape of the shower head on this one means the water doesnt spray out very well.

That's because it's not thermostatically controlled.

These shower units are fine for single people - other than that you're relying on others in the house not to touch the hot or cold supply - if they do, you either get roasted or frozen.:whistling:

That said, you can also hook these up to a thermostatic mixer.

Lidl quite regularly sell a thermostatically controlled mixer for £14.99 in their weekly 'specials'

Fantastic price and quality :) (they are £110 not including delivery at Screwfix  )

What is required to place the rail against the wall? A few reviews on argos say it was an easy installation.

Depends really. If the holes at in the rail match up with your existing ones, all you need to do is take the old one off and replace. Otherwise, if they don't match up, you'll need to drill two more holes and use rawlplugs and screws to affix it to the wall.
