My wife has just come home from work at Asda and has told me that in preperation for St Georges day they are going to run the 3 crates of beer for £16 promotion again (just like christmas)

Starting Tuesday you can get crates of 18 cans of carling, carlsberg or john smiths

3 x crates mix and match for £16.

She's only told me as i wanted her to get me a crate of carling, but she's told me to hang on and get the promotion again. As a lager drinking English man i think this is a must tell all thing for everyone to take advantage of.

Sorry link doesn't go to the offer and i'm not sure whether it's available on line, but however nearly everyone must live only a few miles away from an asda and it's worth the trip.

Why the cold votes? Is it to keep the lager cool? ;-)

I've spoiled it anyway and warmed it up a bit.

all i can say is if it comes to tuesday and it's only two crates for £18 then i don't think i'll be gutted to much. that would be 50p a can, which is £2 cheaper than a pint in the pub. Which means shove it to Gordon Brown
#13
Time to stockpile the beer again
#14
excellent, were did all the good beer deals go ?

no supermarket has ever done 3 for £16, and never will in the current climate!
best offer ever has been 3 x 18 packs for £20 which is £6.66 for 18 cans.(37p a can).
believe me i always look out for and buy these deals when on.
i think this will be 2 for £16.

The will do it before long and if not now they make enough money and work on the larger scale thing.... it makes me happy as they get rich and i get cheap alchol :-D
#21
is it the usuals? i.e. carlsberg carling strongbow etc?
#22
This Was an ace deal around x-mas, loved the lager that I did manage to drink, Voted Hot
#23
In response to the budget increases the packs at the brewery that i worked at were being changed to smaller packs rather than price increases so expect the 20 x 284ml to be 18s or even 16s now.

i only drink good beer,

so this is definately getting a a cold vote from me

(if only molson would put a best before date on their bottles and i could finally get a decent drink in this country)

That's the worst piece of reasoning for a cold vote i've ever heard, it's not whether you like the beer or not, it's whether it's a good deal..dear oh dear!

Heat added, good deal will be stockpiling myself!

If it is not to your liking then why are you voting it cold? Look for deals that suit you and vote them hot maybe?

Or even better think IF I liked it would I vote it hot or cold....

:)

I agree that there is only rubbish beer and decent deals on real beer are very rare, but I would have thought the better response would be to not vote at all and leave the gnats wee to those that like it.

I wouldn't have put Molson in the good beer category though, I had it in Canada and it's the same old same old. Plenty of top class beer available in the UK, the problem is that the good stuff is expensive.

Since St George was born and brought up in present day Turkey shouldnt Asda be doing a hummous or a donor kebab offer instead of beer?

BTW - hot hot hot!!
#38
I'm confused - does anyone actually know what this deal is?
3 for £16? 3 for £20?
And on what? 18 x Stella? 20 x Carling? two toffee crisps and a packet of peanuts??????
Can't vote it hot if you don't know what the details surely?????
#39
Hoping its some decent cans in this so i can stockpile a couple of crates for glastonbury!
Cheers for the info! Heat added!
