I thought I'd try out barbecuing meat with a smokey flavour, by using a smoker box, this seems a sensible price for a stainless steel box.

I'm a cheapskate so I've bought some Applewood smoking chips from Poundland.http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/supagrill-applewood-smoking-chips-for-bbq-1-poundland-2466179
I'm going to follow David's advice on Amazon:
"5.0 out of 5 stars Beautifully smoked salmon in 20 mins including warm up time, 21 May 2016
This review is from: Barbecue Wood Chip BBQ Smoker Box
Used on a Weber gas BBQ. I started with soaked chips but it took 30 mins to heat up and start smoking. I read an challenge to the wet chip method - only the surface wets and they will only smoke (burn) when dry so why bother wetting? I tried dry chips and bingo! Beautifully smoked salmon in 20 mins including warm up time."
