These aren't made of stainless steel. Just a Silver finish on plastic. Had a few in the garden but they are pretty fragile and didn't last long.

These get very poor reviews and have been this price for over a year now, apparantly they only work when it's been really sunny for long periods in the summer months and don't work in the winter.

These are "Stainless steel finish"...

You can buy 10 of these for £9.99 @ Focus DIY. Terrible in winter but good few hours in summer but the intensity is very low.

Good find
Its a thumbs up from me!

Cheap solar lights are useless- they don't cast enough light to illuminate anything. And if you have kids who like to play football you can count their lifespan in days.

With a bit of "tinkering" you can make these work much more efficiently.

Remove the cover around the solar charging unit, carefully disconnect the terminals (with a soldering iron), then reconnect with the terminals reversed.
Replace the lamps with 11W low energy Aldi specials.
Paint the inside of glass covers with aluminium paint, to internally reflect and concentrate the power of the light. Leave a small area of glass clear to act as lens.
Reassemble unit, And use.

This alteration should allow the units to utilise darkness rather than the sun to charge them up.

I've also found that changing the bulbs and connecting the lights to an outside extension cable, plugged into my kitchen...gives much better results.

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME... unless you is clever like me.:whistling:
