i would think mains operated to be honest

What a strange design ( no wonder the price has been reduced so much)
What is the point of a light that shines in two opposite directions !!

Its definately mains powered as it uses two 35w bulbs ( GU10 spotlight bulbs)

Yes, these are as much for decorative than practical use. Orientated vertically they throw a shaft of light against the wall to good effect if placed at intervals across the front of your property for example..

we got these a few years ago at the same price and they look fantastic, my hubby fitted them on our gate pillars, the light up shows up the numbers and the down shows the buzzer, he changed the bulbs to leds, which has worked great and bit cheaper to run

gonna pick up some more now and he can do outback round the deck and patio, help light up the steps a bit better

I bought 2 of these a few days after xmas at this price. I can confirm they are mains powered and easy to fit (providing you're no stranger to wiring lights)

The lights are powerful enough but they're range is limited hence more for decoration than anything else.

I would definately recommend these. Currently looking to hook them up to a wireless switch for remote operation but they're design feels solid, the lights are easy enough to change (the bottom and top cylinder just unscrew) and has a seal between to prevent water entering the light.

Thanks for that . Will keep looking. Amazon and eBay have both got the led ones but they are so expensive e.g. £30 for 5 :w00t:
Enjoyed the 'weird' typing, hehe, as long as she enjoys herself!!

Thanks again for your help.
