not with a machine like this - you be very lucky to find anything a few cm below the ground - if you want to do metal detecting... go out and spend a few hundreds on a proper machine. My machine I got worth £800 new can be had for about £3-400, found a gold coin the other year worth about £1200. You got to walk over it to find it.

I got one...thanks.

Ideal for me and my daughter on the beach etc etc.

I imagine you have to spend alot if you are in to it.....but for what i want £30 delivered is good enough.

you will not find much with this one i do detectoring all the time i found quite a lot a few roman hordes with it.

when my lad was 10 he found £28 on Teignmouth beach in 3 hrs with a detector that cost a tenner from Toys R Us...so this will be fine for a the non serious user

My mum had a B&B in Teignmouth and I found £10 on the floor for free. I
