Double socket with 2x USB chargers.
perfect in the bedroom to charge your phone, tablet, anything that uses USB to charge.
The kids are always puling out my phone so they can charge there own, now you could potentially charge 4 phones on 1 socket.

Need a deeper socket back box (35mm) or they will stick out a little when installed.
Exact same wiring as a normal socket, just copy what you take off.
£14.12 with A1 electrics on eBay with free delivery and an extra 15% off if you buy them with something else.
Sold in multiples so if you buy 5 you're paying £11.38 each.
They do the single socket too.

Come from a good UK manufacturer in Knightsbridge, i've bought a few things of that make and they are good quality.

A socket with USB charging points! Cool. Though I do wonder how long they'll last before USB isn't a thing and they become effectively useless :P

More and more stuff seems to use USB now so should be around for a few years? Can't quite get from the description whether one of the sockets is 1 amp and one 2 amp or if phones and tablets acn be plugged into both?

Both are 1 amp outlets, a total of 2 amps, i think that's the standard for a usb charger, my phone charges through 1 amp

Wouldn't an Anker 5 port be better and cheaper?

USB is generally being replaced by... newer USB. Since this is just for power, it doesn't really matter if you have a USB 5.0 phone

Yes but different design, it depends on your preference.
And if you buy a lot of 5 they work out at £11.38 each
and if you're in the need of any bulbs etc, they are doing an offer of buy 1 get 1 with 15% off.
I don't get why this is being voted cold either

Given enough time almost everything becomes useless eventually.

Kind of reads like self promotion. Sorry if that is not the case.

Kpmathews, that usb c design is what will replace the connector which would go into the phone not the wall, sort of like the apple lighting cable.

The AC outlet hasn't changed in a while :P

Do they conform to British standards?
There has been a flood of these sort of sockets on the market and a number have had the USB sockets failing in a short period of time.
