Thought that Dewalt had a 3 speed gearbox. Those batteries dont look like 3 amp hour ones either?
Please, Most battery drills have sealed motors with no accessible brushes, And definitely not on a 100 quid drill.
This drill would be no better or worse quality than a Dewalt or makita of the same price, From experience the battery's will go well before the brushes, At which point you get a whole new kit, As a couple of battery's would cost you as much .
The Li-on batterys that come with the Hitachi are very touchy iv had two fail on my this year.

Most cheap battery drills do have sealed motors. The DCD785 currently available from screw fix for £129.99 would have accessible brushes. If you have to get a whole new kit after the batteries have gone you are throwing money away as you can also recondition the batteries. I worked for a tool hire company for yrs refurbishing and reconditioning tools and if they threw away every drill that came back knackered they would have gone out of buisness very quick.
What's that got to do with this deal though?
Black and Decker, DeWalt and Stanley are same company.
Badge snobery parts won't be an issue.
3 year warranty aswell bloody bargin for £99.
