+1 for Hitachi at Screwfix... this Stanley is around £70 when in promo at Homebase

My experience may not be typical but the chuck on mine was out of true, went to Stanley for repair, they ended up sending a new one, just the same fault.

You did.
Which makes this a NON deal

£63 in home base for the hammer drill with 1.3mah batteries. £59 for the drill driver. extra battery power not worth it for me as for occasional diy use. but really impressed with the drill.

Just to throw another drill in the mix, Homebase had the Hitachi DV18DSFL for £76.93 the other day, I believe that is the same drill as the Screwfix Hitachi, but with lower capacity batteries (1.5 Ah instead of 2.5). The lower capacity batteries may not be to everyone's taste, but its also £23 cheaper so may be better for some people. Homebase Basingstoke had about 20 of these Hitachi drills on the shelves on Saturday morning. (I actually went to get the FatMax, which they didn't have any of)
