Stanley torches feature an innovative and unique design for convenience to the user. This Stanley 195154 is a prime example of the most up to date pocket size AA torch. The light output is measured in lumens--the higher the lumens the more bright the light. This Stanley Fat Max torch has a specially designed reflector for a strong focus beam. The Stanley 195151 is made from heavy duty anodized aluminium for strength and durability for on the worksite or around the home. This torch is fitted with an easy to use on /off push button and is also weather resistant and has a shatter proof lens. This particular model takes 2x AA type batteries (not supplied).

Not voting either way, but these torches are obsolete. They're expensive, cumbersome, and although they're maybe brighter, they're such a pain to use. Keychain torches, which you can buy ten of from Deal Extreme for the same price, are *so* much better.

I would agree 40 lumens isn't very bright so unless it lasts for a long time it would be better to get a fenix.

Wow do I feel out of my depth. I just thought £3 was cheap for a alu torch to chuck in the tool bag or back or car boot!

It would be great for many situations. I am just disputing "prime example of the most up to date pocket size AA torch"

or get an mte3-2 instead of a fenix for a fraction of the price from dx
