there was mentions of blackberry playbooks not being accepted

Don't suppose you have that list do you mate ?? I was looking the other day when Staples had the 10.1 @ £80 (missed it :( ) and went to the website for info and it just said about the size of the trade in and nothing else. Ta

From this thread: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/linx-10-10-intel-baytrail-t-quad-core-processor-2gb-system-memory-32gb-hard-drive-2091825?page=35#comments

I really wish we could move away from this list by now. I was the one who contacted the trade-in company and got the original list of accepted trade-in manufacturers, however it has been confirmed that after someone contacted Linx, they then clarified there should be no restriction on branding only that it is at least 7 inches, not damaged and functional. Linx then contacted the trade-in company who revised back to another member that the restriction on manufacturers has been removed and any other brands, specifically the Blackberry Playbook (which was not on the list but many were enquiring about) among others are now acceptable.

anyone had any success with a playbook

Yes I had a claim approved for trading in a Playbook - not got the cash yet though

You can get this for £64.95 from eBay. Alternatively you can get the much better Linx 8 for £69, track it with Quidco and get the £30 cash back by trading in an older tablet.

Are these back in stock in Staples? I'll ask my local.

Why are people trading Playbooks to get £30 off their Linx tablet? Surely you can get more than £30 for a Playbook on eBay or at CeX?

got the 10" one in store today for £79, just had a delivery with more

This feels like the 10 inch thread all over again :)
The trade in list was abandoned. You can now trade in any tablet of 7 inch or more. It is explained further on in that thread. And then again. And then again. And so on...

These are great buy - I use mine to stream SkyGo to a TV (no sky box there) and works a treat. I paid £59.99 as posted previously on here... so at £39 must be good deal (if you have trade in ...)

Why are people trading Playbooks to get £30 off their Linx tablet?

Less hassle - only about £38 on eBay with all the extras. Seems like less on CEX. And £50 off a Linx 10

It's just gotta be a Min 7". Check-out https://tablettradeup.com for full details (who to buy from, how to return yer old Tablet) and you will get £30 if yer buy another 7 or 8",but £50 if yer go fer a 10". I got the 7" fer £34 as STAPLES offered me a Loyalty card, and when I filled out the Application (On-line) they THEN gave me a £5 voucher as a thank you...EVERY LITTLE HELPS :D.

I purchased the linx 10" for £79.99 from staples peterborough, submitted my claim and it has been approved as i have a tablet to tradein which fits the criteria they ask, i have now received the packaging to forward my old tradein tablet, but i have refused to send it in the box they provided because there is no protection for the tablet and the screen can easily get smashed in transit, if this happens your claim will be nul and void, therefore you lose your £50 cashback and get returned your smashed tradein tablet, i have telephoned the company using there phone number they supplied on the tradeup website and they say they have not had any complaints about the packaging, i said i would send my tradein tablet in a box which i want to supply which protects my old tablet therefore there should not be any reason for me not to get the £50 cashback, i am waiting for a phone call back today 15/01/15 regarding this.If anyone is waiting for the packaging to send there tradein tablet in, i would suggest you have a good look at the packaging before sending in it, you have more to lose than them !

£79.99 for the 10"? CHRIST you did well. I did it on-line,Dec 24th...(****) Good luck with the trade in,I'm gonna wrap it in bubble wrap JUST ter be on the safe side.

I could only manage 1 layer of bubble wrap because the packaging they sent was not big enough, also i have queried with them via email about its charge, what happens if it lost its charge when they receive it, because it must turn on to be validated for the offer, and we do not know how long it will stay on there shelves before testing, i have taken precautionary photos of it on and fully charged before i posted it, also photos of the packaging it is in so i have all the proof i need.

SO,it's just the tablet to go back, and not the charger?.

Well...it SOUNDS like you've done all you can to ensure it reaches them in one piece.perhaps a piece of (thin) cardboard cut to screen size?...every little helps,eh :D

When did you buy your 10" Linx for £79.99 ( you lucky LUCKY sod you) I thought I did well at £34 (after trade,+ £5 voucher for Loyalty membership)

Purchased mine on 22 december 2014 at staples peterborough, they did sell out so they gave me a time on 22 dec 2014 when they get a delivery, which i phoned them at 1pm , and they had 10 delivered, i asked them to hold 1 for me, they did and i went down to purchase for £79.99, now after my tradeup = £29.99 as i purchased the 10" one, what a bargain ! But buyers beware that to claim the tradeup money you must have purchased the linx tablet without discount vouchers or codes and the till receipt must not show any discounts!

I find the price a BIT of a WORRY in general...a Tablet COMPUTER,running Windows 8.1 at (in your case) £29.99? and to think I thought I had the deal of the year,at £34...for the 7". 8)

I didn't ask for a voucher,I was offered it at the point of purchase (by Staples,on-line) a £5 "thanks for applying for the loyalty card" voucher, that I was able to apply to my "basket" at check-out. I have claimed (and had accepted) my trade-in of a 7" YARVIK (Oooops, now I gotta find ANOTHER paper weight) and am due the packaging any day now.

I sincerely hope the guarantee turns out to be better than it was on the SEKONDA Watch?,THAT was guaranteed fer LIFE. UMmmm..seems when the Main spring goes,it SLASHES yer WRIST oO

I received the packaging to return my tablet,today...basic doesn't even come close. It's a tight fit, geared for a 7",fine...but not all 7" tablets are the same.I was able to get mine in to a bubble wrap sleeve...just,but these things (parcels in general) don't tend to be handled softly softly now,do they. At LEAST the tracking seems to work well. Ahhh HELL,it's gonna be FINE :|

Oooops,I didn't notice the signature bit under "tic boxes",and wish I'd thought about that cut down the middle,I blame the Medication ;) still,it's gone now.
