These are not the standard slimline editions of these boxsets. These are the deluxe editions. So if you're a Star Trek fan, who likes his or her deluxe edition boxsets on their DVD shelf, well, this is the place to get them.
The Box Sets are well presented in a tough plastic case, with the DS9 spacestation,, raised up on the front of the box, with a chrome like effect on them., which are set in a clear plastic mount (like half a CD case) which have been stuck together along one edge, which keeps the collection together nicely.
There are loads of extras and you get a free "interactive Space Station", that you build it up as you collect the boxes. Also a nice booklet detailing each episode. The Deep Space 9 DVD has a Dolby 5.1 option, which is great, as there are some great sound effects on DS9, that can be really bought to life.
The last, and often forgotten feature on this DVD is that it comes with a token, you get one with each DVD box set, and can be exchanged for some pretty cool "free" stuff such as posters, film cells, signed books, T-Shirts, PC games and even a Digital Camera. (Although I am not sure if these offers are still valid today)
*****Borders have Series 2 and 3 at a similar price. So if you wanted to buy both Series 2 and 3 buy them from Borders and enter code WINHT at checkout to get £5 off the overall price ie saving £2.50 extra per boxset*******
Anyway, rather than list three seperate threads I thought it made sense to post as one deal at Blah and mention Borders for Series 2/3. Espeially as the next cheapest that I can find Series 1 is £58.19 (Amazon)
